Instead of teams needing to attend a 3-hr compulsory on-the-job assignment at the old folks' homes, this has been replaced by having the team communicate a Home of their choice, and to come up with a 2-page proposal on how they can help to raise funds together (or for) them.
Mr. Ibrahim Ariff, president of KESUMA, further elaborated on Social Entrepreneurship, as it's the first time in this competition that this component has been added. He also talk about the Rules & Regulations of the YESCOM competition.
We are happy that MoneyTree Singapore Pte Ltd is fielding 1 Team, led by Mr. Tay Zhong En (15 years old).
This is indeed a very good opportunity for MoneyTree's students to put what they have learned at our MoneyTree Workshops.
We hoped all the teams an enjoyable & fruitful journey during YESCOM 2009.
